Flooring installed on a properly prepared subfloor

Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, and engineered wood, with the subfloor levelled and prepared before anything is laid.

Overview

A floor that is flat, quiet, and still tight in a few years, which depends almost entirely on what happens before the first plank.

What flooring installation involves

Almost everything that determines whether a floor lasts happens before the first plank goes down. The subfloor has to be sound, flat, and dry, and the layout has to be set out so the room reads correctly.

The visible part is quick by comparison. The preparation is what you are actually paying for.

Services included

What a flooring installation project with us typically covers.

  • Hardwood
  • LVP
  • Laminate
  • Engineered Wood

What you get

  • Subfloor prepared first

Levelling and preparation are part of the job. A new floor laid over an uneven subfloor telegraphs every dip and can fail at the joints.

  • Layout planned before laying

Plank direction, starting line, and transitions are set out first, so the room reads correctly and cuts fall sensibly.

  • Transitions and trim finished

Thresholds, reducers, and reinstated baseboard or shoe are included, which is what makes an installation look complete.

Before & after

Completed flooring installation projects will be documented here with same-angle before-and-after photography.

Project photography is being prepared. In the meantime, see our before & after comparisons and recent projects.

Our process

The same clear sequence on every project, so you always know what happens next.

  1. Consultation

We talk through what you want to change, how you use the space, and what has to keep working during the project.

  2. Planning

A written scope covering what is included, what is excluded, and the sequence of work — no line items to decode.

  3. Material selection

Finishes and materials are chosen against the scope and budget before anything is ordered or demolished.

  4. Construction

One team coordinates every trade, keeps the site clean, and sequences the work to limit disruption.

  5. Final walkthrough

We review the finished work with you together and address anything before the project is considered complete.
