Accessibility Statement
ZEFF Construction wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.
Effective 30 July 2026
Our target
We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We treat accessibility as part of building the site correctly rather than as a separate review stage: a feature that works with a mouse but not with a keyboard, a screen reader, reduced motion, or increased text size is not considered finished.
Current status
WCAG 2.2 AA is our target, not an independently verified result. The site has been built and reviewed against these guidelines, but it has not yet been through a full independent accessibility audit including assistive-technology testing. We would rather say so plainly than claim a conformance level we have not had confirmed. This statement will be updated when that review is complete.
How the site is built for accessibility
- Semantic HTML with a single main landmark on every page and a skip link to bypass navigation.
- A logical heading structure, with one page heading per page.
- Interactive elements are real buttons and links, operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- The mobile menu can be opened and closed with the keyboard, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the control that opened it.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- The before-and-after comparison uses a standard range control, so it works with pointer, touch, keyboard, and screen readers, and a written summary of the change is provided as well.
- The photo gallery can be opened, navigated, and closed entirely from the keyboard, with focus kept inside the dialog while it is open.
- Form fields have visible labels, errors are announced and linked to the field they belong to, and focus moves to the message when something goes wrong.
- Colour combinations are checked against contrast targets, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Animation is reduced automatically for visitors whose system requests reduced motion.
- Layouts work down to small screens and when text is enlarged.
Known limitations
The interactive service-area map is a third-party component. It can be reached and operated by keyboard, but the complete list of every area we serve is also provided as plain text beside it, so no information is available only through the map.
If you find something else that does not work well with your assistive technology, we would like to know — see below.
Tell us about a problem
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, please tell us. It helps us fix the problem, and in the meantime we will give you the information you need in another way — including discussing your project entirely by phone if that is easier.
Contact us at info@zeff-llc.com or (980) 210-4611. Please tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, so we can reproduce it.
Enforcement
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the matter with the relevant authorities in your jurisdiction. We would prefer to resolve it directly first, and we take these reports seriously.
